Terms of Service

The basis on which we work together. Last updated: REPLACE WITH DATE.

Review this with a legal advisor before publishing. It is a working draft, not legal advice, and your project contracts should always take precedence over it.

About these terms

These terms cover use of hchukstechnologies.com and the free mockup service. Paid work is governed by the separate written proposal and agreement for that project.

The free mockup

We design a mockup and outline based on the information you submit. It is provided free, with no obligation on either side, and we may decline to produce one where a request is unclear, unlawful, or outside what we do.

A mockup is a design concept, not a finished product, and does not constitute a quotation or a commitment to build. Until a price is agreed in writing, no contract exists between us.

Ownership of mockups

Until a project is paid for, the mockup and its underlying design remain our intellectual property. You are welcome to review it, share it internally and give us feedback. You may not pass it to another developer to build from, or publish it as your own.

On full payment for a project, ownership of the delivered work transfers to you, including the source code and the designs produced for it. Any third-party components keep their own licences.

Information you provide

You confirm that the information, text, images and other materials you give us are accurate and that you have the right to use them. We are not responsible for content supplied by you.

Pricing and payment

Project prices are fixed and agreed in writing before work starts. Payment terms, instalments and any applicable taxes are stated in the project agreement. Work outside the agreed scope is quoted separately before it begins.

Timelines

We commit to agreed timelines and will tell you promptly if anything puts one at risk. Delays caused by waiting on content, approvals or third-party access move the timeline accordingly.

Liability

We take care to deliver work that functions as described. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any project is limited to the amount paid for that project, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits.

Website content

Information on this website is provided for general guidance. We may change our services, pages and this document at any time.

Governing law

REPLACE WITH THE JURISDICTION YOUR ADVISOR RECOMMENDS, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
